We’re now at the business end of the tournament, and Joachim Low is pulling no punches in lead up to Germany’s 4th consecutive WC semi-final. According to him Brazil have little flair, which is like saying to a German that their passing triangles are not perfectly equilateral.
He’s got a point thought, given that Brazil practically kicked the Columbians off the pitch last Friday in a match that saw more fouls committed (54) than any other at this tournament up to that point.
Indeed this is not a Brazil team brimming with Romario’s, Ronaldo’s and Rivaldo’s, but 90 mins stands between them and the final, so surely it’s a simple matter of “win 1st, look good 2nd???”

According to coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, Brazil are closing in on heaven. And no doubt about it, this tournament and all its footballing fans will benefit if they do continue to progress.
This is a team that’s playing under unimaginable pressure. If you look beyond the nerves of having to play a football match in front of billions of people, the actual consequences of failure go way deeper than the disappointment of exiting a tournament, given that so many were protesting against Brazil hosting this tournament for years leading up to that first whistle.
The teams progress has been a welcome distraction up until this point, but how much pressure and responsibility can this young team continue to shoulder? I wish them well.
Força Brasil!

France, beware the Germans!

For us it’s the art of capturing thoughts, conversations, words or key business messages, and then simplifying and transforming them into a compelling visual representation and story. Sounds all a bit nice and fluffy, but there are some hard tangible statistics that support the work, most notably that 83% of human learning occurs visually and that the retention of information is six times greater when presented by visual means.
Enough of all these words though!
It could be an illustration that represents and supports the launch of a new vision…
A graphic that explains and brings to life a 3 year strategy…
or an infographic, that used to be a spread sheet but is now a network of roads highlighting departmental goals and priorities.

Arjen Robben has recently been criticised for telling the truth. Sure, he may take a dive from time to time but at least he owned up to it – what a guy! And maybe, just maybe, he was following through on orders from the boss, or could it have been a simple innocent matter of miscommunication.
