Round 7.
According to coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, Brazil are closing in on heaven. And no doubt about it, this tournament and all its footballing fans will benefit if they do continue to progress.
This is a team that’s playing under unimaginable pressure. If you look beyond the nerves of having to play a football match in front of billions of people, the actual consequences of failure go way deeper than the disappointment of exiting a tournament, given that so many were protesting against Brazil hosting this tournament for years leading up to that first whistle.
The teams progress has been a welcome distraction up until this point, but how much pressure and responsibility can this young team continue to shoulder? I wish them well.
Força Brasil!
